Have your say

Victoria Knowles, 38, of Anston, who runs her own personalised jewellery brand, Victoria Grace Jewellery, gives us her best and worst beauty buys:

BEAUTY HIT: Organix Macadamia Oil Dry Styling Oil, £6.99

This is a new find for me that, at a fraction of the price of other similar products, keeps my long hair in tip-top condition. After too much drying, styling and wear and tear, I apply the oil to my hair and leave it in overnight for a moisturising boost. I also regularly use a tiny amount as I style, or banish that frizz.

BEAUTY MISS: Sally Hansen No-Chip Acrylic Top Coat, £4.75

No chip, it says on the bottle! Not only did I get chips, I got cracks and bubbles to accompany them. I was expecting to head off on holiday with lovely glossy nails that remained that way, but I hadn’t even reached the airport before this product let me down and began to peel, a look I was stuck with all holiday. Avoid.

Sanctuary Spa Top to Toe Glow Pamper Tin, £19, Boots

This range of pampering treats are good quality and always reasonably-priced. But this week only, while stocks last, Boots are selling this gift set packed with body products at less than half the usual price of £40. If you’re Christmas shopping, it’s one to keep for your mum. Or, if you need a beauty pick-me-up ahead of the party season, buy it for yourself! It contains body wash, lotion and polisher, face wash and exfoliator, plus a file, scrub and moisturising butter to get feet neat.
