THEY are the Sheffield buildings described as having the Marmite factor - and there is now less than a fortnight to say whether you love or hate them.
Voting in this year's Sheffield Civic Trust People's Award closes on January 31.
And with the 12 buildings on the short list - including Leopold Square, Sheffield Hallam University's Furnival Building and the Sheffield University Soundhouse - dividing opinion like never before, Simon Gedye, secretary of the trust, reckons every vote counts.
"The competition is really hotting up," he says.
Last year's victor was the Charles Street Car Park - itself a bit of a marmite building.
The winner will be announced at a ceremony at the Showroom Cinema, in Paternoster Row, on February 16.
LITTLE ponies raised big bucks for a huge cause - that was the verdict after these two cuties appeared in Sheffield city centre.
The Diary reported the pair of Shetlands were the 'mane' attraction at a fund-raising drive by the Leicestershire-based Phoenix Children's Foundation in November.
Now after a count up, the group has revealed Sheffielders donated 234. The money will be passed to the city's Riding for the Disabled Association.
There's nay denying that's a happy ending.
