ASIDELINES - Clegg mauled by Mullin in memoir

ONE man not expecting any Christmas cards from Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg this year is former Labour MP Chris Mullin.

He savages the Lib Dem leader in his just published diaries, Decline And Fall, recording his thoughts after watching the first leadership debate on TV on April 16.

"For all his fluency and self-confidence, he is easily the biggest charlatan of the lot. Who would guess, listening to him prattling piously abut MPs' expenses, that he was a maximum claimer?"

He is still at it with his entry two days later. Referring to Cleggmania, he says he is "by far the shallowest" of the last five Liberal or Lib Dem Leaders.

Titter Twitter

SHEFFIELD'S Last Laugh comedy club has a gig on October 15. The acts are booked but the venue isn't. And it could be anywhere.

The club is leaving that up to the punters who can tweet them on @lastlaugh2u on Twitter and if the organisers like the idea they'll will book it.

It could be Doncaster or Rotherham but they quite like the sound of Norwich.

So does that make it Titter Twitter? It's a tenner a ticket by the way.

Wrong footed

ANYONE else noticed that the pink boots on the little mannequin in H&M on Fargate are on the wrong feet?
