Young Sheffield performers took to the stage at one of London’s top venues, for a night of song, dance and musical theatre.
A group of 20 Stagecoach Sheffield students joined a cast of 300 at Her Majesty’s Theatre to perform numbers from hit musical Hairspray, including Good Morning Baltimore and You Can’t Stop The Beat.
Shelia Chapman, Stagecoach Sheffield principal, said: “The students did a fantastic job.
“Their performance was very professional and no one looked out of place on such a grand stage.
“They all had a great time meeting and performing with students from Stagecoach schools around the UK and, no doubt, making many new friends and memories.”
The performance at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London’s famous West End is one of the highlights of the Stagecoach calendar, as it celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.
Stagecoach Sheffield is part of a network of more than 600 part-time theatre arts schools worldwide and aims to build confidence and develop communication skills through performance.
