Have your say

Lovers of vintage will be in their element when a ‘rolling back the years’ fashion fair rolls back into town.

Hot from a tour of the UK, Sheffield’s own Vintage Fashion Fair comes home this Saturday, December 3, noon-5pm.

Bringing 40 stalls from every corner of the UK, and local traders too, rail upon rail of timeless vintage clothing is there for the plundering, say organisers.

Items ranging from the 1940s to the 1980, plus quirky reworked clothing and handmade jewellery, will be on sale at the Sheffield Town Hall event.

The Vintage Tea Party tea room will be plating up cupcakes and cuppas and a Vintage Beauty Parlour will be transforming customers into starlets.

Created in Sheffield in 2008, The Vintage Fair now visits upwards of 20 cities.

Step into the spotlight

Got your vintage party dress but not got a clue how to do your hair and make-up to complete the look?

Step into the Hollywood spotlight, girls.

Stylists at Headlines Elite in Fargate have perfected a host of vintage hairstyle techniques and are offering to convert two readers into vintage vixens.

Hair and make-up will be styled to match your dress and you will be photographed for a Star feature on the popularity of vintage style.

If you’d like to take part, email a picture of yourself and your dress to starfeatures@sheffieldnewspapers.co.uk with your name, daytime telephone number and an explanation about the Hollywood star or fashion period you would like to emulate.Closing date is this Sunday.
