PETE McKee is also collaborating with another British institution – fashion designer Paul Smith.
The Sheffield artist has been commissioned to design two T-shirts to be sold in Selfridge’s stores.
“I was asked to come up with a couple of mod-influenced designs for T-Shirts,” he said.
“I did one of a mod on a scooter and one on a beach with a mod looking longingly at his scooter.
“On one I used Paul Smith’s PS logo to replace the Li on the Lambretta scooter badge.
“He liked it so much he asked me to do it on the other one as well.
McKee has worked with Sir Paul on various projects.
In 2010 Pete held an exhibition of his work at the flagship Tokyo Paul Smith Store that led to Teenage Kicks – a limited edition book to celebrate Pete’s musical influences.
