THE weather might be unpredictable - but the sun is always shining on summer in The Star.
We asked readers to send in their best sunshine snaps - and here are just a few of the super selection which landed in our email, on our Facebook page and via The Star’s Twitter account.
From golden images of grandchildren which warmed the heart, to holiday photos at home and abroad, your sparkling shots reflect the way you’re spending summer in South Yorkshire.
Images could be snapped anywhere - in the garden, the streets of the city centre, on a day trip out, or on summer holidays to sunnier climes.
Proud grandad Gary Bowskill from Woolley Road, Stocksbridge, sent in photos of his gorgeous granddaughter Evie More, aged nearly two, from Upperthorpe.
And doting dad Kevan Smith from Fretson Road, Manor, submitted pictures of his six-year-old daughter Olivia Scarlett - running through the Peace Gardens fountains and making sandcastles at the Sheffield By The Seaside event.
Other pictures included little lad Alan setting out on an adventure, Charlie in the sun in Southey Green and Joanne Shepherd cooling down with a drink or two in Ingoldmells!
There’s still time to send us your pictures, which we’ll publish online on our website:
* Email them to firstname.lastname@example.org with Summer Snaps in the subject field
