STYLEFILE: DJ Jo shines like an emerald

Have your say

Radio DJ Jo Whiley looks quite the green goddess in her block bright dress.

Emulate her emerald style with Jaeger’s one-shoulder tiered number.

From their new spring collection, it costs £260.

Go to their Meadowhall store, or order online at and have it delivered there for free.

Height of luxury pooches

Jaeger London have launched a limited edition Pooch Tote.

Designed in nude leather with discreet gold hardware and branding, it could be the most stylish dog bag on the market.

It’s highly practical, though and pooches can relax on a softly-padded washable base cushion. There’s a concealed side air vent and a side flap that can be poppered up at a moment’s notice.

It’s available at Jaeger’s flagship Regent Street store next month for £750.

Skyscrapers look down at heel

Cover your ears, heel aficionados.

Sales of flats have overtaken heels by three to one for the first time in years, according to Peacocks.

Since the start of 2011, their sales of flat shoes have soared by 70 per cent.

Designer-inspired brogues and fashion ballerinas like these baby-blue ones, £12, are topping the retailer’s footwear charts.

Sarah O’Shea, of Peacocks, said: “Winter weather, plus the economic climate, has seen a shift. Gone are towering skyscrapers - the 2011 woman has her feet firmly on the ground.”

The latest edition at Debenhams

Expect more designer names at Debenhams this spring, with the launch of Edition.

Featuring pieces from catwalk favourites Jonathan Saunders, Preen and Jonathan Kelsey, this new collection won’t break the bank, with prices starting from £28.

The recession-friendly designer pieces arrived in stores yesterday.

Coast stay faithful to their vision

Coast’s vision for spring/summer is one of playful femininity with a sleek, grown-up edge.

The palette - a juxtaposition of ivory, taupe and green - is punctuated with pops of lemon, emerald blue and raspberry.

Dresses range from Seventies maxis in vibrant shades to prom-style shapes with a nod to a Fifties-inspired silhouette, in delicate floral-prints like the Marianne dress pictured right, £140.
