Olympian and Strictly Come Dancing champion Louis Smith is heading for Sheffield.
The gymnast, who became the first Briton to win an Olympic medal for individual gymnastics in 2008, will be signing copies of his autobiography Louis: My Story So Far in a city supermarket.
The triple medal winner, who won silver in the pommel horse event at London 2012 will be welcomed to Handsworth’s Asda branch on Friday, July 5, from 4pm until 6pm.
Louis will be there to meet fans and chat about his memoirs, which document his rise from a youngster growing up in Peterborough to gymnast, all the way to scooping glory with dancing partner Flavia Cacace on the popular BBC One show last year.
A spokeswoman for publishers Orion said: “Louis tells the story of his amazing journey for the first time.”
