It was the 22nd time that the big name superstars of WWE have done battle at the venue in Sheffield – with the first show playing at the Arena back in October 1991.

Fans of all ages saw the likes of Daniel Bryan, Tyson Kidd, Stardust, Cesaro and Big Show do battle in the wrestling ring and settle some big grudges.

Audiences were on their feet chanting and cheering as the wrestlers showcased some of their trademark moves.

Earlier in the day, fans got the chance to meet one of the superstars in the flesh before the main event got under way.

WWE superstar Kane, Glenn Thomas Jacobs, met fans of all ages at a signing at HMV in Meadhowhall.

He took time out from preparing for the Arena match to sign official GB Eye posters and meet wrestling fans, who had queued to see him.
