Five dancers from a Sheffield school have secured places on a prestigious course.

High Storrs students Christy Lothian, aged 16, 15-year-olds Eddie Hookham and Jonny Aubrey Bentley, 17-year-old Jessica James Green and Olivia Falsone, 18, have secured places at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance.

They will complete the intense advanced training scheme in their spare time.

A school spokesman said it was ‘unheard of that so many dancers would come from the same school’.

School staff are planning to celebrate the end of the year by singing and dancing along to classics from musicals.

The event, on Thursday, from 7pm, will also showcase performances from students.

Tickets, priced £5, can be purchased from the school’s finance office.
