Artistic talent from around Sheffield will be on show at an exhibition to raise funds for charity The Samaritans.

Painters Geoff Kersey, Brian Smith, Gerry Kersey, Isabel Blincow, Steve Elliott, Graham Clarke, Lyn Littlewood, Judy Day, Marion Anniss and Helen Day will be taking part in the event.

The artists’ group holds a regular exhibition and sale each year – and Marion and Helen are newcomers for 2013.

The event takes place at Baslow Village Hall on Saturday and Sunday, between 10am and 5pm on both days.

Isobel said: “For the last 16 years, our group of 10 artists has supported Sheffield Samaritans by putting on a superb exhibition of paintings.

“This has become a much anticipated display of paintings by some of the best artists in the region, raising £24,000 for The Samaritans over the years.

“This year is the 50th Anniversary of Samaritans in Sheffield, and it is hoped that this exhibition will help the charity to celebrate half a century of caring.”
