Artwork by young children will be showcased in an exhibition in Rotherham next month.

Rotherham’s Imagination Library is holding an Art Exhibition in the Gallery at Riverside House, in Main Street, from June 14 to 21, as part of the Children’s Festival.

The exhibition will feature the artwork of children aged between two and five.

Parents have worked in partnerships with schools and children’s centres in helping youngsters to use their imaginations and bring some of the Imagination Library books to life.

The Imagination Library is a book-gifting programme for children under-five.

Around 14,000 children in Rotherham receive a book each month.

Children who visit the exhibition can take part in an Imagination Library quiz.

Families visiting on a Saturday can combine their trip with a visit to an art workshop.

A woven art workshop is on between 11.30am and 12.30pm on Saturday, June 14. The following Saturday, June 21, there is a Make a Magical Being workshop ,suitable for all the family, between 11.30am and 12.30pm.

The exhibition will be open during normal library opening times.
