Turning a favourite children’s book into a show is never an easy trick, but this production succeeds at every fantastic twist and turn.

Hettie Feather is a triumph as a talented cast make brilliant use of an ingenious set.

Wilson’s story follows a girl who is handed over to an orphanage as a baby, passed on to a foster mum, before returning to the orphanage for an ending which warms the heart.

In between, there’s tantrums, life lessons and a circus adventure which never fail to entertain.

Phoebe Thomas as Hetty is both cheeky and charming, perfectly capturing the spirit which makes her character
