A vintage, arts and crafts emporium has added a new furniture shop to its fast-expanding list of traders.
Sheffield’s Nichols Building – which houses a host of independent businesses – has welcomed Reverse Gear Interiors, which sells retro interiors.
The firm is the brainchild of former miner Gary Evans, who has opted for a unit in the Shalesmoor department store over selling his goods online, to promote independent shopping.
He said: “It may seem odd not to want to sell on the Internet, but I really want to create retail spaces which customers can return to and know they can touch and feel quality furniture.”
Gary has chosen French poster girl of the 60s, Francoise Hardy, as the ‘muse’ for Reverse Gear.
