HELLO, cupcake - let’s have a cuppa.

Residents and staff at a Sheffield care home enjoyed traditional afternoon teas, and a whirl around the dancefloor, when they took part in Dementia UK’s national tea dance.

The occasion was extra special at Park View Care Home, Sicey Avenue, Shiregreen, where staff sported ballgowns and smart suits to serve tea and cake to residents and visitors.

Home manager Donna Ashton said: “Our residents love dancing and having a chat over a cuppa and a cake, so we thought what better way to raise money for such a worthwhile cause than combining the two.”

Money raised will go towards Admiral Nurses, which offers practical and emotional support to people affected by dementia.
