Turn over a new leaf at book club

BOOK lovers can get together in Sheffield tonight for the first meeting of a new monthly social group.

The ‘Lovers of Literature’ club will hold group discussions, poetry readings, play recitals and talks from guest speakers, and the first session is tonight at 7.45pm in the Crucible Corner cafe on Norfolk Street, where There will be free refreshments, and entry into a prize draw to win £25 of book tokens.

The group will go on to meet on the fourth Tuesday of the month at the Showroom Cinema, Paternoster Row, at a slightly earlier time of 7pm.

The club has been put together by the Oddfellows Society.

Step out in style

STEP into the new season in style with the 2013 St Luke’s Hospice Spring Fashion Show.

The popular annual fashion trends event and lunch, organised by the hospice Action Group, will be held this year at Baldwin’s Omega on Monday, April 15, with a 12.15pm start.

Fashions by designer brands will be provided by independent department store Atkinsons and the shop’s staff will also act as models for the afternoon.
