Ice skater Margot Haglund gets goosebumps and butterflies every time she steps out on the rink these days.

It’s little wonder, for the American is taking on the mantle of one of the most famous women in the cinematic world – Elsa from Frozen.

Disney On Ice Worlds of Enchantment ends with a spectacular Frozen segment during which Margot takes to the ice to the hot song Let It Go.

“It’s so wonderful. It’s a really special thing to have that segment put into our show this year,” she says. “It gives me butterflies and goosebumps every time because it’s something I’ll never forget – hearing the audience sing along with you as you are skating.

“It gives you so much energy. I think the songs are wonderful, people all ages love to sing them. I’ve seen young kids to adults just belting Let It Go out and I think it really resonates with people as it’s a powerful story.

“It’s about the love between two sisters and everybody has family and friends they feel that way about. Especially with Elsa, I know I can relate to that.

“It’s wonderful to play a character that is so inspiring. She really can relate to many different people and being yourself and embracing the talents you have. I think it really resonates with people on a deep level. That’s why Frozen is such a big sensation.”

Disney On Ice Worlds of Enchantment is at Sheffield Arena from November 18 to 22 and also features Toy Story 3, The Little Mermaid and Cars.

But it’s Frozen that has everyone talking as it’s the first time the mega hit has been portrayed on ice in Sheffield.

“I love it. I just feel so honoured to play such a special character,” adds Margot. “It’s so great to see all the little girls dressed up in the dresses. It really is a family show. There are so many different aspects to the show, it really does have something for everyone.

“There are so many great areas. We start off the show with Toy Story and that’s very high energy, you get to see Jessie, Buzz and Woody and there’s a really fun Spanish number and it really starts off the show in a happy, excited way.

“We then move on to The Little Mermaid and you really do feel like you are under the sea. It’s like stepping into the movie.

“Then we move on to the second half with Cars, which is really amazing, it’s animatronic cars which come to life right out on the ice and we finish with Frozen, which I just adore.

“I’m so happy it’s here. And yes, I can build a snowman. We have Olaf in the show.

“He’s a wonderful big snowman and he always gets a big reaction when he comes out.”
