Youngsters from a Sheffield primary school are getting ready for the biggest performance of their lives - after passing a tough audition on the stage at the City Hall.

Pupils from Darnall’s Phillimore Primary have been chosen to appear in the opening ceremony at the Sainsbury’s 2013 School Games to be held in Sheffield in September.

The event, run by the Youth Sport Trust, is the biggest national tournament of its kind.

The Phillimore team will perform their dance celebrating the heyday of the city’s steel industry at the opening ceremony of the games. A team from Westfield Sports College also auditioned.
