A SNAPPER from Sheffield has beaten competition from across the globe to be crowned Photographer of the Year by the UK’s largest photography company.
Matt Coe, aged 23, from Stradbroke, has been photographing the people of Sheffield for four years from a studio in Chesterfield. He beat more than 250 other photographers and digital artists from across the UK, Hong Kong, Ireland and the US to win the prize.
The awards were organised by Venture Photography, which runs the studio where Matt works, to recognise outstanding creative flair and expertise in the area of portrait photography.
Matt scooped top prize, along with accolades for winning images in the toddlers, young children and groups and siblings categories.
Matt’s stand-out image featured two-year-old Kelisse Nadin from Manor, winning the toddlers category.
Kelisse’s mum Kerry said Matt had made her and her daughter feel completely at ease in the studio.
