Young artists and poets from Westbourne School in Broomhill, Sheffield, enjoyed a taste of the celebrity spotlight when their work was exhibited at London’s Natural History Museum.

The six talented artists had their work selected from more than 2,000 entries to be included in the Global Art and Poetry Competition final.

Judging the work was internationally acclaimed wildlife artist David Shepherd, who was present at the museum to meet the pupils.

The children also met the event’s special guest speaker, TV vet Steve Leonard.

“I am so incredibly proud of the children,” said Westbourne art teacher Liz Wensley.

“It is such an honour for them and their school to have been selected – and out of so many entries.”
