Artists are invited to paint Sheffield radio star Rony Robinson in a new competition.
Photographs of the Sheffield-born writer, broadcaster and presenter have been taken in various locations with different lighting.
Artists are then invited to choose one to interpret for their image.
Artists wanting to take part in the competition can choose from 80 photographs at the Parks and Countryside Head office, Brook Road, Meersbrook Park, Sheffield.
Rony has presented a show on BBC Radio Sheffield since 1984 and has had more than 100 plays produced all over the country.
He was awarded an honorary doctorate from Sheffield Hallam University in 1999.
The portraits will form a part of this year’s Art in the Gardens, at Sheffield’s Botanical Gardens on September 7 and 8, from 10.30am to 5.30pm.
Last year, City of Sheffield champion high diver Monique Gladding was the sitter for the competition. The winning artist was Andrew Warren who presented a portrait of her in oil.
