Concert set to help charities

A FUNDRAISING concert is to be held in Sheffield on Saturday in aid of two city charities.

The event at the Salvation Army Citadel, Psalter Lane, Nether Edge, will raise money for Sheffield Young Carers and Amy’s House.

Sheffield Young Carers provides support for young people aged between eight and -21 who care for people at home.

And Amy’s House is a weekend respite centre for children with special needs.

The High Storrs Soul Band, Chaucer School Steel Drums, Citadel Singing Company and vocalist Emma Windle are among those who are performing.

The concert starts at 6.30pm and is part of the of the Irwin Mitchell Music Festival which is organised by the law firm.

Tickets cost £3.

They are available from Amy’s House charity shop on Handsworth Road, Handsworth, or on the door on the night.
