The last book I read

Skipping Christmas by John Grisham.

I have read a lot of JG. Not his sort of normal lawyer style that a bit over-used. This a refreshing change, as amusing and funny. Amusing paperback and read it on holiday recently

The last CD I bought

The last CD I bought - latest Sophie Ellis Bextor tracks from her latest album Trip the Light Fantastic (from iTunes). I like her music and think it's fun – her lyrics mean more than you may first assume for a pop song. She's upbeat and good to drive to.

The last film I saw

The original Jaws on a Sky channel – finished at one in the morning – a fantastic film one of the classics. One of the early psychological thrillers that is based on manipulating the audiences anticipation and their own imaginations. All without a lot of gore by today's standards. It also introduced a new genre of film. Lead to films such as Sleeping with the Enemy, which used the same approach.

The last TV show I watched

The Apprentice preceded by Britain's Got Talent, of course.

Re The Apprentice: I like watching candidates fail or achieve task from business point of view. My favourite part episode is the interview week, which I think is brilliant – and would never want to go through it myself.

You watch people put into spotlight and challenged for what they put down on paper – it brings out the best and worst of people. It makes you really see them.

Although reality TV, this is real reality unlike Big Brother, which I loathe. I am also interested and intrigued as to how they approach the younger apprentice show planned for next year. BGT get real people also – although a show you do feel you get underneath the show. EG Holly and SuBo . Now we the public as well as the show organisers are working out how we deal with this.

The last place I visited

The South of France. Our favourite annual holiday. Lucky enough to know for a relative who owns a house there which we are able to use. It is a lovely area is familiar and I can switch off. Even with three busy kids I can really relax

The last meal out

Clay Oven in Nether Green. This is a lovely, much underrated curry house. The service is friendly a nd excellent, and the food good value and delicious.
