Sheffield City Hall’s annual Christmas Concert is to be held on Saturday, December 8.

The internationally renowned Black Dyke Band will join forces with the Sheffield Philharmonic Chorus for the event, which will see popular carols including Silent Night and God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen performed.

Richard Hunter, City Hall general manager, said the annual concert is one of the most popular of the year.

He said: “The intimacy and interaction between audience and performers is something that is very hard to find elsewhere.

“There isn’t much that can beat the union of choir, band and audience in this annual festive communal celebration.

“I would strongly recommend collecting some seasonal sparkle to carry with you for the duration of this special time of year.”
