Young dancers are being given the chance to hotfoot it into the limelight at this year’s Doncaster pantomime at Cast.
After the huge success of its first pantomime in 2013, Cast is looking for junior dancers to perform in this year’s show Aladdin – running from Friday 5 December – Saturday 3 January.
In a land far, far away, yet somehow strangely familiar, Aladdin and his mother are struggling to make ends meet. Aladdin dreams of living the lifestyle of a prince and his mother – not quite the fairest in the land - imagines riches beyond her wildest dreams. If only magic existed. If only there were such things as genies and enchanted lamps… well, this is pantomime and anything is possible!
After last year’s smash-hit success, Cast’s latest festive offering promises even more. Live music, beautiful costumes, mayhem and song combine to create a Christmas treat with oodles of magic and heaps of sparkle.
2013’s offering was hailed by the Doncaster Free Press as “One of the town’s best pantos in years”… and this year promises to be even bigger!
To take part in Aladdin you will need to be aged 8+ and be a strong dancer - specifcally.
Cast are looking for 18 dancers in total and anyone can attend the open call. Just go to Cast this Saturday from 1pm to 4.30pm to register and audition.
