former Sheffield Wednesday star David Hirst is among a team of footballers playing on Arsenal’s Charity Football Team in a game in Staveley.

The Arsenal team, including former Gunners Ian Selley and Tony Murtagh and actors Ralf Little and Patrick Robinson, will play against Chesterfield’s Tesco Extra charity team on Sunday, at Staveley Miners’ Welfare Ground.

The match has been organised by Tesco employee Craig Tromans after his best friend’s father died after developing a brain tumour.

Money raised on the day will go to Brain Tumour UK and Tesco’s charity of the year, The Alzheimers Society.

Gates open at 10.30am with family activities before the game kicks off at 1pm.
