Wisewood School should not be axed

NO. Wisewood School should not be closed. Nor should any other good school be closed. The wishes of the community it serves should be respected, and people should have a choice of secondary school. This choice is steadily being taken away by the authorities.
It will mean yet more road journeys in the area. The prime reason for closure clearly is to sell the site in order to help fund ultimately the enormous school they want to build over the other side of the valley and which will absorb it. This is the American model. Why do we always have to do things their way?
