I am writing in response to the letter from Mrs J Green (Sep 21) regarding staffing at Wisewood School. It paints a totally inaccurate picture of the situation at Wisewood.
The school is fully staffed with our full complement of teachers on permanent contracts. We currently have one supply teacher working with us covering for a colleague who is, unfortunately, on sick leave.

This supply teacher is of the highest quality, with many years’ experience, including as a senior manager in a school, and will continue to cover classes until the teacher’s return.

All other classes are being taught by our own, permanent teaching staff and are receiving the same excellent level of teaching which has seen the school make such good progress in recent years.

Diane McKinlay, Headteacher
