I AM a resident of Skye Edge and quite a few weeks ago I read that 'beat bobbies' have been re-introduced across Sheffield and that, along with Community Constables, they will be clamping down on, amongst other things, anti-social behaviour.
Well I can honestly say that to date I haven't seen either a beat bobby or a Community Constable on my estate.
Do they only patrol during school hours? I am sure if they walked the beat during the evenings and weekends they would see that for such
a tiny estate, Skye Edge has more than its fair share of dysfunctional families and gangs of youths causing anti-social behaviour in quite a few places.
So if beat bobbies and Community Constables exist, show yourselves both soon and often.
A very disappointed resident
Residents living on Batemoor/Jordanthorpe are getting heartily sick of youths (without helmets) riding motorcycles on pavements, across grassed areas and on the main roads during the day (10am-5pm).
There are two black and a yellow scrambler bikes (all very noisy).
The main 'rat runs' are between houses round Hazlebarrow and Ormond (Jordanthorpe), across Norton College fields and on Dyche Lane/Batemoor Road.
If action is not taken soon, an accident will happen.
