To allow windfarm would be disrespectful to community

I would like to respond to Jason Leman's letter (May 1), in which he said that the council cabinet identified suitable council owned sites and that Westwood Country Park was the best site for a windfarm.
What makes a best site? And how do they measure this or compare it? Anyone who gets out of their car and walks around Westwood Country Park can clearly see that this is an inapropriate site to build wind turbines.

The council should be realistic: if it does build windturbines in a country park (yes, a country park!) the councillors should be named and shamed. If the council persues this then I feel they have not taken into account local people's opinions. They should remember that these people are council tax payers and if the council uses their power to overturn their views then I feel they have been a little bullyish and disrespectful to the community on this matter.

Many thanks to Angela Smith MP for her support, and Andy Redfern for all his hard work.
Wendy Woodliffe, High Green
