When the late Sgt Bob Ring arrested the Yorkshire Ripper in Sheffield, he said it was down to 'good coppering'.
Now is the time (long overdue) to see a return to robust policing to sweep our city clean of the tracksuited yobs who really are making the life of so many a misery.

Let's see war declared on these drug addled, workshy louts!

The police in Sheffield should have one big Operation and lock-up all this vermin: they MUST know where all these spray-can wielding, glue sniffing, 'happy slapping' (stupid expression), joy riding (ditto stupid expression) scum (of both sexes) live, doss or hang out.

Raid their homes, recover stolen goods, weapons, drugs, spray-cans/marker pens; lock-up their "can't care less" parents as well.

Our city is blighted by grafitti, gangs loll around all times of day and night with their fashion accessory dogs, smoking cannabis, spitting, plotting...

Give us some good old fashioned strong coppering, as ASBOs etc aren't working!

Mr A Tupper, Blackstock Rd, Gleadless Valley

taximansam,

on the streets of sheffield.. 31/07/2008 21:30:27
good postin but aint seen any sign of action (not holding my breath) though there was an arrest made when one of our drivers was attacked on saturday night up meadowhead..amazing as you usually just see the cops down town, guarding drunks and businesses rather than homes in the suburbs..

thanx for the feedback, i dont buy The Sun - I thought the politicians must do though as it seems they use it to push various policies. But then maybe they dont read it in Downing St as they clearly aint listening to the (dwindling) law abiding majority....
