STRUGGLING market traders? I don't think so!
Last Thursday (October 2) I asked a butcher in the Castle Market for half a pound of chicken pieces (I am 75 and live alone). He said curtly: "We don't sell less than one pound" and walked away before I could protest.

I felt humiliated, but was o
n my way to a class of 50 people, none of whom will use that stall again!

Most market traders have been spoon-fed for years by our Council.Low rents -and hefty discounts -despite the stall-holders selling on their sites for a fat profit.
Most of the fruit stalls rob folks blind.Nice stuff at the front but mixed junk at the back.And just try picking your own ...if you want to see a trader explode..
