Looking on bright side of city's roads

I HAVE read with interest the various comments about Sheffield's roads. But look on the bright side: we have two excellent universities who are now able to offer advanced pot-holing courses as part of the extra-curricular activities. Sheffield's roads can also be used as a test bed for the various suspension systems for new car models, no matter that possible businesses take one look at Sheffield and go elsewhere.
However, I do want to complain about the number of traffic lights in the city, a large number of which are superfluous. Now we have suddenly found a need for traffic lights so high up they must be for low flying aircraft.

Maybe having given away the airport for a pittance we are now going to use the roads as runways.
