Labour is heading for election loss

APART from some miracle, I find it very hard to believe that after the next General Election that a Labour Government will be returned or, for that matter, a Labour Council either, so I find it very hard to understand why Labour councillors are so vindictive to Wisewood residents on the school issue.
Coun Harry Harpham says he told the truth at the meetings. He stated that there were falling numbers at Wisewood school when, in fact, he was wrong.

Jan Wilson also stated, after the Town Hall fiasco when two rebel councillors voted with Labour, that she would come and speak with residents of Wisewood. She never did.

I cannot understand why Labour cannot see that the residents fear for their children's safety at a very dangerous junction. Also, I find it hard to understand the position of David Blunkett and Angela Smith.

G Fawcett, Dixon Road, Sheffield S6

On both Accounts about Labour victory's you may be right G Fawcett,But consider the alternative have you such a short memory on both government and council. The Tories desimated this country in terms of employment and the economy. Likewise the last Lib Dems city council put this city in utter financial termoil or perhaps you don't remember. The position of David Blunkett MP and Angela Smith MP is of experience in politics, is their a gloat about your only MP being your Leader. Keep a close eye on Cllr Scriven and Mr Clegg, in 2 years time will either be still in politics? Words are not good enough!

The Tories did what they could to cure this country of a Labour cancer. The cure hurt us all. Again we must face great hardships because it will be a long time before we can recover from this Labour tragedy brought about by an unelected Prime Minisier afraid to call an election. Crime, Education, Health, we are all becoming brainwashed that they are doing well. Remember when Iraq was invaded and the Minister for the interior was on Iraq T.V. We have the Americans on the run. The enemy will never enter Iraq. All the time U.S Tanks were driving right behind the guy. This is the British Labour Party now.
