WE have recently heard much pontificating by Labour and Lib-Dem politicians, not to mention a well known MP, about crime reduction in the Westfield area.
They all say that things are starting to improve crime- wise in the area.

They must be living in Cloud Cuckoo Land.

What do you think? Post your comment below.

They should read the article (May 1) about the burglary at the local John Barnet Youth Club, where hundreds of pounds worth of computers were stolen.

We must not forget that a lot of items for this club were obtained through the local Westfield and Halfway TARA.

What they are stealing is property that their parents are paying for.

As a former chairperson of this organisation I appeal to anyone with information about this theft to contact the proper authorities.

I tried to give police information about a robbery on a supermarket on Bocking Lane but they wasn’t interested and wouldn’t listen to me.

I was assaulted just for asking druggies to be more considerate when their cannabis stench started to choke me and my wife in our home from the property below. But when I asked the police for help they threatened me saying I was the assailant. But the man who assaulted me happened to be a policeman’s son known for his drug activity and violence.

One once much sort after property was given to a druggie and now is a wreck with an estimated bill of £12,000- £14,000 just to be made habitable. When we offered the police information and details of the culprit, the policeman didn’t even take his note book out.

Frantic telephone calls were made for over a week to close a cannabis factory down, only when two passing policemen help us the residents. A large van and a skip were needed to transport all the plants and ready made cannabis away for disposal. Then Sheffield homes cleaned the property to make it habitable and put the same druggies back in.

An evil corruption of coordination between the police, Sheffield Homes and the drug fraternity exist with the distribution of drugs on Lupton Walk. No one is ever prosecuted for any criminal damage or drug use.
