In 2000, Friends of High Hazels Park and the Darnall Green Spaces team conducted a major survey of local people to find out what type of facilities they would like in the park and how the park could be generally improved.
From this a Masterplan was created, funding obtained and many new facilities installed, rescuing the park from the virtual no-go area it had become to a green space that we can once more be proud of.

Time marches on and we would like local people to tell us how we can continue to improve the park.

Come and see us at our stall at Darnall Carnival on Saturday, July 5 (noon-5pm) and give us your ideas and maybe join the Friends Group and play your own part in improving the park for generations to come.

Darnall Carnival itself will, as usual, have a wide range of events and activities for all sections of the community.

Paul Campbell, Chair Friends of High Hazels Park, 49 Widdop Close, Sheffield 13
