WE hear that air pollution at the Olympics games in Beijing is a very real concern for athletes. However it is a far bigger health risk to the people that live there.
Here in Sheffield The Star's enthusiasm for the Northern General Hospital planned 837 space multi-storey car park ( fails to mention that it will add (according to Clean Air for Europe) to the £45 million health price that air pollution costs the Health Service in Sheffield each year.
Sheffield's award-winning Care4Air campaign says around 280 people a year die prematurely from pollution.
