loyal supporters of a club? Talk about kicking a man when he is down!
Whenever a club experiences financial problems they should be helped not penalised, clubs which have been penalised in the past have struggled to maintain their league position and in some cases have been relegated, which causes more financial hardship as supporters will always stay away from a struggling club.
The Football League talk about football clubs being run as a business. What about the Premiership clubs? Chelsea is not run as a business. Abromovich comes in with a few billion roubles. He could be the most inefficient chairman in the world, but the club would still run because of his money. Talking of the Premier clubs, how many of them are in debt?
It's about time the chairmen of the Championship, Leagues One and Two kicked out the Football League management and went their own way.
The old First Division put two fingers up to the Football League and formed the Premiership, so a precedent has been set, if only the chairmen and owners of the three lower divisions have the guts to carry it out.
