IT's good to see that Coun Scriven thinks Sheffield has an internationally-renowned sporting reputation. I agree completely.
But that's no thanks to him and his Lib Dem colleagues who voted against our world famous sports facilities - even when they were half-built!

Coun Scriven and the Lib Dems have spent the last 18 years castigating Labour councillors for investing
in our sports facilities. Now they are saying 'we can showcase the city and boost the local economy' on the back of facilities that they have never missed a chance to belittle. We have a longer memory than that.

I can't wait for the London Olympics and Sheffield's important role in them.

Jack Scott, Labour Party Parliamentary Candidate, Sheffield Hallam
