YET again it falls to The Star to point out another case of council maladministration, citing intransigence and arrogance among the causes.
Over the years, how many council officers or executives have been sacked, or Cabinet members resigned, when found guilty of maladministration? If you answered "1" you would be grossly exaggerating.

Then we must consider The Star reports of the tr
icks used by the council to 'beat the rap': papers going missing, delays, even untruths. Now we can ask why this happens.

One reason is that officers are asked to deliver on irrational policies that would be undeliverable but for the 'tricks'.

Council officer actions then receive tacit support from elected members, hence no sackings or resignations.

Has the current administration got the guts to put right the injustices?

When I got home there was an unsigned letter from an "Income Manager" stating my home was at risk as I owed them a week's rent...
