CAN anyone update me please? When in Fargate, a pedestrianised area in the centre of Sheffield, I saw a policeman riding his mountain bike, leisurely weaving between pedestrians.

THE ANSWER TO THIS IS "YES ". IF ON DUTY AND IN PEDESTRIANISED AREAS, IT WOULD REALLY BE DANGEROUS IF A PANDA CAR STARTED DRIVING UPP AND DOWN FARGATE. THE MORE POLICE ON BIKES THE BETTER.
