I have read the many postings on your website following the murder of Tarek Chaiboub at Spital Hill, where people of all ages in Sheffield want the cycle of 'gang' violence gripping our city to be broken.
We need a public show of calm - what about a Peace from Violence Amnesty Rally in the Peace Gardens next Saturday or Sunday?
Next Saturday, Club Vibe in Sheffield is hosting a North-v-Midlands music event (on the posters it states with the 'full co-operation of South Yorkshire Police') - perhaps this could be a way forward to help stop the bloodshed?

Many times when I was a young man, I walked back home to Ecclesfield after a night in Sheffield pubs, through The Wicker and Burngreave - I wouldn't fancy that today.
