MY bin was not emptied due to a complaint that it was too heavy.
Unfortunately my husband died on March 7 and so I needed to get rid of various rubbish.

I feel very distressed that the bin men could not dispose of my rubbish saying they do not take garden rubbish. In conversation with friends I was told their
bin men take any rubbish put in their bins.

I cannot understand why some areas are lenient, while others are so awkward with what they will take. It's also bewildering that they have a lorry, which lifts the bin up and tips out the rubbish for them, and all they need to do is wheel the bin up and hitch it on to the lift.
My friends also said some bin men are just taking out the bags and not moving the bin at all. This is what I think happened to me because half the rubbish was left. When I tried to get the other rubbish, it had been packed down, possibly by an empty bin, so it was impossible to get out.

I feel very unhappy with the treatment I've received when other people have no trouble with their bin men. I am also, having to get over the sudden death of my husband who would have helped in the disposal of any extra rubbish.

YOU WILL FIND THAT MANY PEOPLE HAVE THIS TROUBLE WITH THE BIN MEN. LET US HOPE THAT THE CONTRACT WITH VEOLIA SOON COMES TO AN END. HOWEVER, I DOUBT IT FOR OBVIOUS REASONS THAT CANNOT BE MENTIONED. BUT THIS LADY CAN APPLY FOR DISPENSATION AND HAVE THE BIN MOVED BY THE BIN MEN, THEY DO NOT LIKE DOING THIS, BUT IT IS PART OF THE CONTRACT TO HELP DISABLED OR ELDERLY
