NOT too long ago you asked readers about the dangers of Rottweilers.
I have a Rottie and am a responsible owner, ensuring my dog is not a danger to me or anyone else.

Unfortunate for my dog he is not the stereotype Rottie and the other evening my partner, my toddler granddaughter and myself set of to take our dog for a walk, the same walk we do daily.

Only this time my dog was attacked my another dog, an American bull mastiff.

This dog is owned by a neighbour. For a long time now this dog has tried to get over a fence that is not suitable to contain such a dog.

On this occasion, it managed it.

The owners were too scared to go near their own dog.

The police said they could do nothing about this as it was another dog that was attacked and not a person.

Do we really have to wait until a person is attacked?
