Sheffield Steelers have signed a new shirt sponsorship deal which could lead to a further four year tie up with security detection company "Eurologix."
The Midlands company's Chief Executive Mike Loughlin said: "This is a big deal for us, in my own mind this is a five-year partnership.

"We will use Steelers to enhance our relationships with customers. Bringing clients to Steelers is fun, it's different and it's exciting, we loved it when we were brought to a game and our clients will enjoy it as well.

"Being branded as the Eurologix Sheffield Steelers will also have that name awareness that is important for all commercial companies" said Loughlin, whose son Ryan is a Coventry Blaze fan.

Eurologix make x-ray machines and body scanners used airports, customs, prisons night clubs and others. They also sponsore Telford Tigers.

Steelers' general manager Mike O'Connor said "Eurologix are a blue chip company dealing in International markets; we are delighted that they see us as a way they can market their brand."

Supporters will see the new branding this evening at iceSheffield in a meet-the-players event.
