Sheffield Steelers completed the destruction of Hull Stingrays tonight to lift the Yorkshire Cup.
Having hammered their East Yorkshire cousins 10-4 on Saturday, they completed the job with a 5-2 win at the Arena, although they were made to work much harder than the previous night.
Doug Sheppard, Robert Dowd, Ashley Tait, Scott Basiuk, Ryan Finnerity scored the goals.
Basiuk looked handy on the Power Play and Finnerty's goal was the best of the night.
Dowd has a lot to learn defensively, but was awarded man of the match.
Jeff Legue was Steelers' most creative forward.

Full report and assessment in Monday's Star.
