GERAD Adams will play in the 'Sutton Sting' Charity Game on Saturday at iceSheffield (5pm), an event intended to raise £50,000 for Weston Park Cancer Appeal.
The Cardiff Devils' player coach says he can't wait to meet up with old team mates Dion Darling and Mark Dutiaume.
The line up boasts former NHL'er Ed Courtenay, ex Steelers Chris Szysky and Belfast Giants' legend Jason Ruff.
Adams has also agreed to take part in the "Skate with the Pros" event being hosted for Junior players on Saturday morning.
Two teams consisting of up to nine professional players and 13 amateurs will compete. Organiser Gary Apsley said: "With just a few days to go, the amateurs are now starting to get nervous, not at the prospect of facing the big name players, but at making sure the event reaches the £50k target, I just hope we can now see the venue full".
So far, less than half of the 1,500 tickets have been sold. Tickets are priced £5 each (no concessions) and available on the door.
