Woodland fall KOs woman

A WOMAN had to be rescued by firefighters after falling down an embankment whilewalking in South Yorkshire woods last night.
The woman, aged 47, was out with a friend in Listerdale Woods, off Black Carr Road, Wickersley, when she fell 20 metres down the bank.

She was knocked unconscious by the fall, which happened just before 9pm, although she came round a short time afterwards.

Fire crews from Rotherham and Maltby winched the woman to safety.

She was then taken to Rotherham District Hospital for treatment.
