THE Doncaster pub landlady whose body was found slumped behind the wall of a nearby shop died of head injuries, a post mortem examination has revealed.
Marie Ann Booth, aged 55, of High Street, Mexborough, was found at the foot of a high wall in the rear yard of a shop near her pub - The Bull's Head - last Thursday night.
A 62-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder has been released without charge.
The senior investigating officer, Det Supt Richard Fewkes, said: "Police are continuing with the investigation and are keeping an open mind as to how her death occurred."
Her daughter Joanne Woodburn said: "Marie Ann Booth was a fantastic woman who will be sadly missed by her family and everyone who knew her."
The Doncaster coroner, Stanley Hooper, is expected to open an inquest into Mrs Booth's death on Thursday.
